Holy shit, when I told our website tech dude – the one who wears flip flops and says “dude” a lot – that we should have an email where people could send music they wanted us to listen to, I never expected to get such a large amount of really not great music. I’m like, “Jesus Christ, it’s called Too Much Happiness, not Too Much Fucking depressingly bad music.” It’s far fetched that people have tastes this bad (I don’t know if it’s possible). I’m quite convinced my thousands of close friends are playing a well thought out April Fool’s day joke (Haha!) that started a while ago and won’t stop. Buffet Libre sent me a remix a little while ago that I have to say doesn’t blow. I don’t think that one is part of the practical joke set. And guess what, it’s a Patrick Wolf remix. And guess who has free tickets to the show at the Roxy this upcoming June 9th? I would bet you 1,000 dollars it’s more than 3 people. It’s not me though. I’m way too lazy, I’ll probably sit at home for a quiet evening with your mom, then I’ll listen to his new album on my brand new 1,000 dollar headphones I bought with my winnings from this bet I made with a really rad dude. Hahaha! I’m kidding, of course I’ll be there.
Also, note to music submitters: You have no idea how lazy I am. I’m too lazy to fast forward through commercials on our DVR… even when the remote is in my hand. So when you send me a link to a dropbox that makes me wait 24 seconds before I can download your potentially really not so great mp3… let’s just assume I’ll never actually hear that mp3. Just send it to me and you have a much better shot at me hearing your song before I don’t post it. Haha!
