The chick on the radio said the lead singer was from South Carolina and the rest of the band was from Sweden and I thought, hmm, I’ll leave it here for a sec.

The resulting song from the band Carolina Liar was an interesting tune, catchy yet un-annoying, landing somewhere between The Fray and Keane, and thus I was keen to kick off a new series of posts by posting it.  The Drive Home is an important event in my day as it is the time period in which my mind transitions from the “9-5″ back into a much more personal space. That transition is essential to the nightly success of my far more important life pursuits, be it writing the next big thing or going on a date. Therefore, the soundtrack of the transition becomes crucial.

It will probably be all of five seconds before Grey’s Practice or Private Anatomy or some other ABC show adds ”Show Me What I’m Looking For” to its popularizing track list. It’s got that uplifting, “yay me”, triumph-despite-confusion attitude about it… which, on occasion, I’m a sucker for.
