Polynya

Drinking water when it’s hot out, going all in when rocking the royal flush, only dating hot shallow models, not fighting bears bare handed, never getting burned to death, not dating people you work with (or live in the same building as), buying really good headphones, passing on any food labeled as circus fresh, enjoying anything that glows in the dark, listening to Polynya. These are all good ideas.

Pushing over the elderly, walking under ladders, eating McDonalds, giving yourself 1,000 paper cuts and then pouring lemon juice all over them, listening to music with headphones apple sends you, not listening to Polynya. These are all horrible ideas. Atrocious really.

I started to write out everything about Polynya that’s fucking awesome… and after I wore through three pencils and 22 sheets of paper (they were huge sheets) I just gave up. It was literally going to take forever. Call me selfish but I don’t have time for that. Here’s a little scrap for you though: They have glow in the dark t-shirts. They might as well be locksmiths manufacturing skeleton keys to my heart. The only thing cooler than anything that glows in the dark…is…well. Get back to me.

Don’t get me started on this song Orlando. I wouldn’t know where to begin. How do I rank it? Well – on a scale of sexy to extra-sexy, I’d say this is extra-sexy. By a long shot. Listen to these two tracks – and then go buy their album. Because they need to keep making music.

Polynya – “Orlando”
Polynya – “People In Pictures”
