Since I’ve already taken to ignoring Einstein’s advice that creativity is just knowing how to hide your sources (remember when I told you about OCMD?), I figured I should just go ahead and blow up all of my sources. I wouldn’t even know how to begin to describe Iso50 (Scott Hansen) without using an absolutely infinite and insane amount of hyperbole. Alright I think that’s enough description as is. To the point: He dropped some remixes exclusive to his site the other day that are out of control. One particular song that I haven’t been able to stop listening to for the life of me is a Shigeto edit of an Astrud Gilberto track (the jazz great, for the sick informed). When you dig it (and oh, you will, baby bird) and start to feel like you need more, spin over to Iso50 because you can get the full EP there.

After I wore out the binary code on that mp3 from listening to it so many times – Hey! It’s Garrett hooked me up with my new fix by spinning my interweb connection over to this video of the Alice and Wonderland soundtrack being spun into this dope track. Besides the fact that the song is hot – it has an accompanying video remix that follows so tightly with the track that I’m pretty sure it was edited by the same dude who did that Pink Floyd – Wizard of Oz deal. Turns out this Aussie named Pogo supplies the soundtrack and it had so much success he’s done other films like Mary Poppins… and others that I can’t remember off the top of my head because I’m super lazy.

Pogo is from Australia and judging by this song – is way more awesome than you will ever be. You can find most of Pogo’s stuff free on last.fm – so go hit that up if you need an excuse to download a host of mp3s you’ll think are dope. The striking similarity between the beats leads me to believe we might have a Clark Kent/Superman situation going on here. Not really – but mentioning Superman makes me feel pretty awesome. I’m all about feeling awesome.

Well, since we’re “adding pithy words” here…you’ve gotta step up your game, son. Pogo is indeed more awesome than I will ever be, but “Alice” is old news, it came out forever ago.

Get on it, sucka!

Last time I checked our tagline isn’t “Breaking News Music.” It’s about good fucking music. And last time I checked there is no American Law that I know of that says music starts to suck three months after it’s written. Holy shit I just looked at my playlist…and OMG I listen to music that is more than 8 years old. Coolio’s Gangsters Paradise is still the tops. In my book anyway.
