I get asked a lot of questions on a daily basis, the most frequent inquiry for my knowledge being – “Hey, what do you normally listen to when you’re shagging supermodels for hours on end?”
When I’m feeling snarky I either say… “Moans” or “Why don’t you go ask your mother?”
But right now I’m feeling truthful so I’ll give you the reals – “Bossasaurus.”
For those of you who fell out of the loop and came here to try to get back in – Bossasaurus is made up of Egon Brainparts and Negatron Johnson. They’re from Oakland and they fucking rip. They seem to bottle up RJD2′s analog supremacy with the aural aesthetic of a trip-hopped out version of Folk Implosion (with an added touch of hi-fi). For those of you who weren’t math majors in college (I won’t judge you), you need to understand that’s an equation for some prehistoric sexiness. Listening to their Dinoriders megamix is the musical equivalent of riding a Brontosaurus on a high speed chase away from a T-Rex for 16 minutes. Oh, I’m sorry, you weren’t a paleontology major? Let me spell that out for you – It’s fucking exhilarating, and it will leave you chanting “Boss-a-saurus, Boss-boss-asaurus” when it’s all said and done.
They’re currently putting the finishing touches on their debut album – and should be heading down to L.A. soon to put on some shows for our viewing pleasure.
