My buddy Brian is a hitman based out of Toledo. Sometimes he doesn’t just assassinate people though. Sometimes he uses his Ninja/Gun fighting skills to just fuck people up or threaten them or something. When ever I’m feeling down and need to hear something pretty badass, I give him a ring to get the official word that’s hitting the street. When I called him the other day he was in the middle of holding some dude at gunpoint to get a top-secret super official CD from this mad boss dude. So he “confiscates” the CD and sends it my way because he knows I’m in what’s called “The Bus.”* So I pop this disc that’s pretty compact into my drive and out comes some dope music. It’s Tom Ato’s newest album (Dub)auchery. It’s fucking tight as hell. After some quick interweb research I figured out that a lot of people already know about this. It’s not top secret at all. Brian got pretty pissed and went back and killed that dude because of it.**

Heartbeats was originally a song by Annie off her debut Anniemal. That album is spot clean start to finish. Bubble Gum pop to the finest. Making a song about falling in love on a club dance floor sound like the purest, most innocent and original moment in the history of mankind is no small feat if you ask me. If you weren’t around in 2004, this was hailed as a perfect pop song. I can’t not agree. I love this whole album and if you haven’t given it an auditory look, then roll down the windows in you car and roll through the local strip bumping this shit. Have you seen pictures of this chick? She’s a fucking Norwegian pop star. HAVE YOU READ ANY OF MY PREVIOUS POSTS? I fucking love hot chicks who sing about sexxy things. Especially when they aren’t from America. Variety baby, bottom line – Tom Ato might have done the impossible and improved one of the Mona Lisas of pop songs. He’s not on a label but he associates with these rad dudes here called the Electro Freaks. I gots this on repeat now.
